Healthy Home, Happy Home...the Easy & Affordable Way

A little over three years ago we embarked on a journey to help our family be healthier. There were toxins lurking in our home that we had never thought twice about…toxins known to disrupt hormones, quicken aging, interfere with fertility, cause cancer, and more. We had assumed (to some degree) that if products were allowed to be sold in places like Target, that they were safe. There were people in charge of making sure of that, right?! Well… we found out that that was not always true. As we began to read labels and see that so many things we never really thought twice about were actually causing our bodies a lot of harm, we became determined to kick a lot of things out of our house for good. And we wanted to replace them with things that were not only NOT BAD for us, but GOOD for us. Things that would improve our level of wellness.

Honestly, we couldn’t afford to do it all at once. All we could do was kick one or two toxic things out of our house at a time. The very first thing we kicked out was the hand soap that used to chap my kids hands like crazy (yuck!) and replaced it with the Thieves Hand Soap. We’ve just about completely finished ridding our house of all of these icky store bought things and replacing them with Young Living products (or in many cases things we were able to make using YL essential oils). Things that are NOT bad for us…but are all SOOO very good for us with a wide variety of benefits to our health as we use them.

Thanks to Essential Rewards, each month my home gets one step closer to being toxin-free. It’s a huge comfort to me knowing that I am no longer putting harmful chemicals into the bodies of my little children.
