As I wrapped up 32 hours of work in two days outside in the sun, all I wanted to do was get home and wash my face. I then thought back to when I really couldn't. With my third pregnancy something happened to my skin. For the first time in my life I had horrible acne that hurt mixed in with new rosacea. I couldn't wash with anything other than water without making it worse and I couldn't even wear any makeup to cover it up without pain and peeling. After dermatologist visits, steroid creams, and most of the over the counter options, I resolved to it being what it was. That is - until I got my Young Living Essential Oils. Through my research and trial and error I found a combination of ingredients that made amazing cleansing rounds and even a face serum that I could use to moisturize. Not only could I use these things without causing pain or inflammation to my skin...I noticed my skin beginning to get healthier. Just check out my progress picture below. What is really great is these are recipes that can be used by men or women and on all skin types.

Cleansing Rounds

1 mason jar

1 small jar for rounds to go in (this is what I use)

cotton rounds

1 Tb Castille Soap (I like Dr. Bronners)

1 Tb Apple Cider Vinegar (Braggs with the Mother)

1 Tb Witch Hazel

2 Cups Distilled Water

5 drops Young Living Lavender essential oil

5 drops Young Living Frankincense essential oil

5 drops Young Living Melrose essential oil

Add all the ingredients to the mason jar, close the jar and shake. Place the cotton rounds into the smaller jar then slowly add the solution to the cotton rounds until well saturated. You will have enough solution to refill your small container a couple times. Use the rounds to cleanse your face at least every morning and evening with no need to rinse.

Face Serum

1 2 ounce dropper bottle

5 drops Young Living Melrose Essential Oil

5 drops Young Living Frankincense essential oil

5 drops Young Living Lavender essential oil

(other skin oils like Young Living Roman Chamomile could be added as desired)

Grapeseed oil

Place the essential oil drops in the dropper bottle then fill the rest of the way with grapeseed oil. I have tried other oils like coconut, castor, and jojoba but all of them were either too drying or did not absorb quickly enough for me. Drop a small amount into the palm our your hand, rub both palms together, then apply over the entire face and neck in the morning and before bed.

Give it a try for a few weeks and let us know what you think.
