This time of year we are all ready for new recipes and fresh ways to use oils. Young Living's monthly promotion features Thieves Fruit & Veggie Spray, Lavender Oil, Lime Vitality Oil, Frankincense Oil and Blue Cypress Oil. Let's dig into some ways to use them!

Lavender
We call it the Swiss Army Knife Oil because lavender is known to balance the body and works on many needs from seasonal support (perfect with Spring right around the corner) to keeping tension away and offering calming effects. So what can you DO with lavender? What about kicking it up a notch with makeup remover pads?
DIY Lavender Makeup Remover Pads
2 tablespoons V-6™ Vegetable Oil Complex
4 drops Lavender Essential Oil
1 tablespoon witch hazel (preferably alcohol free)
2 tablespoons filtered water
Round cotton pads
4-ounce airtight glass container
Label
Pour V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex, Lavender Oil, witch hazel, and water into jar. Tighten lid and shake thoroughly. Place 10 or so cotton rounds in the glass container, tighten lid, and rotate until solution soaks into cotton pads. Print labels on a sticker sheet or on paper and affix with glue. Place label on container lid. To use the pad, just remove one wipe and squeeze out excess liquid. Gently blot or wipe over closed eyelids until makeup is removed.
Lime Vitality

Who doesn't enjoy lime - from Thai food to margaritas to salsa, Lime Vitality Essential Oil will become your new favorite! It is great in marinades for meats and in salad dressings as well. Grilled chicken marinated with lime vitality oil is something you will want to make every week! Your homemade guacamole will be amazing with Lime Vitality Essential Oil, too.
Guacamole
1 diced tomato, seeds removed
2 avocados
1/2 diced onion (sweet or red depending on preference)
1/2 diced jalapeno pepper (to taste)
1/2 of a lemon, squeezed
1/4 tsp salt
6 drops Lime Vitality Oil
Mash avocado, then add remaining ingredients, mix and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Blue Cypress

In Australia, you'll find the Blue Cypress trees which are steam distilled from the heartwood to make this oil. It definitely bears a woodsy, spicy aroma. Blue Cypress supports the digestive and immune systems and is also known for moisturizing parched skin. A good way to introduce yourself to this oil is diffusing.
Blue Cypress
Greetings from Australia Blend
2 drops Blue Cypress Oil
3 drops Bergamot Oil
4 drops Lavender Oil
Add to diffuser and enjoy.

Frankincense
For over 5,000 years, Frankincense remains a special oil. Some call it the Jack of All Trades Oil - like Lavender is the Swiss Army Knife Oil. There are over 52 references to frankincense in the Bible. There's a good reason why Frankincense is a special oil- it benefits nearly the entire body. It supports emotional balance, immune systems, nervous systems and skin. Many, many people enjoy the benefits of Frankincense as part of their daily moisturizing care. It is often used for its grounding aroma in spiritual practices also. A simple way to see the magic in Frankincense is to add it into your skincare. You could almost say it is like a skin issue eraser.
Moisturizer
Add drop of Frankincense to your moisturizer. Apply to skin as usual.
Serum
Select a non-comedogenic (doesn't clog pores) carrier oil such as sweet almond oil, jojoba oil or grape seed oil. Combine with drops of Frankincense in a 10 ml roller ball bottle. Apply to areas like under eyes and wrinkle lines under your regular moisturizer to support healthier skin.
Thieves Fruit & Veggie Spray
Use this spray on your produce and prepare yourself. You'll be shocked at the crud that comes off of the food you're prepping.
