Meet Anita and Discover her WHY

Hi everyone!

My name is Anita Pfaff, and my oily journey began almost 3 years ago. In the summer of 2013, my husband, 3 children and I moved to a new neighborhood. Shortly after our move I was invited to attend a class to learn about Young Living Essential oils. Oils what??? I had never heard of oils, and had no clue what this class was going to be about. But hey, it was an excuse to get me out of the house, and away from the chaos of just moving, have a glass of wine, and maybe meet some new neighbors. That is all I was really looking to do.

So, I sat through a very brief intro class on the oils, what they are, where they come from, and how they can be used. It was super casual. I smelled some oils, and looked in some books trying to find some reasons my family could use oils. And of course I had a glass of wine or two. But, nothing really struck home with me. We are generally pretty healthy, and so I left thinking…. I really don’t have money to spend on oils right now (we just moved for heaven’s sake). This was just something I didn’t really NEED in my life. And my husband would probably kill me if I even thought about spending money that we didn’t have on oils.

Then winter was coming…. and my son got sick. Every year, without fail, since our son was born he would have respiratory issues when the seasons changed. We would end up needing to take him to urgent care for breathing treatments. We would sit outside on the front porch in the middle of night for him to breathe the cold air, or give him steam showers just to get him to relax, and be able to settle down and breathe easier. I had mentioned this to a neighbor at the bus stop, and she suggested I try diffusing RC for him. I borrowed her diffuser and the oil, and was completely AMAZED!! Within 15 minutes of diffusing 4 drops of this oil, my son was able to relax! He got the same benefits of a breathing treatment without having to go to the hospital or needing steroids. This saved us so much time AND money! I didn’t have to sit outside in the cold at 1 a.m.! And the best part….it was all natural, and I didn’t have to worry about side effects!

From that moment on I NEEDED oils. I at the very least needed RC. That was THE OIL I was just never going to be without. I discussed it with my husband, and we agreed to spend the money on a starter kit. I needed a diffuser, and I needed RC. Little did I know we really did need so many other oils, too! The premium starter kit was really the perfect bundle to get introduced to the wonderful world of oils.

This was seriously the best investment I could have ever made, an investment in my family’s health and our future. Since purchasing my starter kit, I now have a diffuser in almost every room of our house, have many testimonials on different oils that we have used, as well as countless “they worked” stories from extended family and friends. We have also benefited from other YL oil infused products such as household cleaning products, bath and beauty products and supplements. It is definitely a work in progress to have a completely chemical-free home, but we are getting there. And the best part with these purchases is that I would normally be spending the money at the stores on other products anyway, but now I am purchasing all natural oil infused products, and even getting many products for FREE after joining Young Living as a business member.

By sharing my love of oils by loaning out my diffuser, giving samples of the oils, or teaching what I have learned so far to others, I have become a Silver Leader within Young Living’s organization. Two years ago I even earned a trip to Mona, Utah! I experienced first hand the entire distillation process, frolicked in the Lavender fields, and truly saw what the Seed to Seal process means. I even helped hand select seeds that would be used for the following year’s harvest! Wow! Never in a million years did I think oils were something I would have in my life. I didn’t even know what an essential oil was! But now I know that oils are something my family will always have. And if all of that isn’t good enough, I have been earning a paycheck too! All just by sharing something I love. If you ask me, things really don’t get much better than that. YL has forever changed our lives, and I know it will change yours, too.We are forever thankful for discovering essential oils.
