Oh, lovely readers, when they say there is an oil for everything, it is no joke. Valentine's Day is creeping up on us and holy wow! We reached deep into the secret compartment of our recipe box to bring you a few steamy recipes to use your Young Living essential oils in the bedroom or wherever passion strikes your fancy. These are the fun ones we road tested after a make and take class. And don't worry, they are all tested and - um - let's say they're also 'user approved.'

The trick with these oil combinations is how it feels and how the oil affects blood flow. That's where the magic happens, for those of you who like to know why something works. We all know that oils support the health of body systems. The main players in the Essential Aphrodisiac Oils are Sensation Essential Oil, Orange Essential Oil, Cypress Essential Oil, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, Joy Essential Oil, Progessence Plus Serum, Black Pepper Essential Oil, Clary Sage Essential Oil, Dragon Time Essential Oil, Endoflex Essential Oil, Valor Essential Oil, Valor II Essential Oil, Lady Sclareol Essential Oil, SclarEssence Essential Oil, Idaho Blue Spruce Essential Oil, Northern Lights Black Spruce Essential Oil, Peppermint Essential Oil, Nutmeg Essential Oil, Shutran Essential Oil, Goldenrod Essential Oil, Hong Kuai Essential Oil and Mister Essential Oil. Click on the linked oil names to learn more about the specific oil and its oily qualities. Some are used to help support system balance and others are used for sensory support. The important part is finding what works for you and supports your system's needs between the sheets. Another important tip is using Young Living Essential Oils because of their guaranteed purity from Seed to Seal. You want high quality, guaranteed oils when you're using them on your body and a loved one's. With Young Living Essential Oils, every aspect of plant growth, farm production and harvesting, and manufacturing is quality controlled to Young Living's industry-leading standards, organic and chemical free. For more details on the Seed to Seal Process, click here. You don't want to be distracted worrying about the purity of the oils when you're trying to focus on 'your VIP.'

Massage Oil

This one is simple and easy to customize for what you want based on which Young Living essential oils you choose to add. Start with a carrier oil, I choose grapeseed because of its lack of scent and it absorbs fairly quickly. Remember that carrier oils absorb the essential oil which offers two benefits to your bedroom antics: one, it makes the essential oils easier to apply to the body areas and two, it helps the essential oil absorb more slowly. So you can take it slow and enjoy yourselves.

  • 2 ounce container

  • 10 drops of Young Living essential oil of choice (some suggestions below)

  • Carrier Oil to fill

  • Mix all ingredients together. Feel free to choose a combination of essential oils but your total number of drops will still add up to 10.

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil: Increased libido

Cypress Essential Oil: Increases heat

Orange Essential Oil: Pleasure and heat enhancer

Her Roller Bottle

Roll this beauty on your inner thighs about 20 minutes before your date to increase libido. For an extra kick add 6 drops of Sensation Essential Oil to the mix.

His Roller

If he needs it, roll this on his inner thigh about 20 minutes before needed to increase his lust, too. For an extra boost at 6 drops of Shutran Essential Oil.

Personal Lubricant

You know, the kind that warms and tingles for an exorbitant price at the drug stores? This will rank right up there with that. Even if there is not a need, it is fun and let's you enjoy the fun without the petrochemicals in delicate places. P.S. 8 Drops of Sensation Essential Oil can ramp this one up even more.

Oily Updates

We recently contacted past winners of blog giveaways to find out how they like their prizes and how they are using them. Kristin Yablonski won the Everyday Oils Collection Set. Notice her attention to using the kit for a healthy home and diluting appropriately for the ages of her children- that's one smart Oily Mama! We're so glad Kristin enjoys her kit and loves using it for her family and her home.

Here's her note:

" I was so excited to win the Everyday Oils Collection. There are lots of oils in that collection so here is a breakdown of how I use most of them:

  • Tea Tree- I have a spray deodorant recipe I use with tea tree oil.

  • Lemon- I diffuse this one a lot. Also use it as a deodorizer at the changing table for my infant daughter.

  • Peppermint- I don't use it too often since I have 2 small children and I'm nursing.

  • Thieves- same, not used yet.

  • Joy- I put this on a cotton ball in my vacuum cleaner so every time I vacuum I get that scent. (The blog fairies especially like this tip from Kristen.)

  • Stress Away- I LOVE the scent of this one, I have it in a roller and I also diffuse it.

  • PanAway- I made a roller for my dad."
