Traveling means making some adjustments in your routine. So you pack up your basics, travel someplace new, and see what happens. Here's my friend Sheryl's partial travel list.

  • Toothbrush Hairbrush

  • Thieves Toothpaste

  • Socks

  • Bathing suit

  • Shorts

  • T Shirts

  • Sweatshirts

  • Shoes

  • Flip Flops

  • Charging Cord

  • Sunglasses

  • Orb Diffuser

  • Breathe Again Roller bottle

  • Deep Relief Roller bottle

  • AromaEase

  • DiGize

  • En-er-Gee

  • Joy

  • Orange

  • Peppermint

  • RC

  • Thieves

  • White Angelica

That's right. She packed a diffuser to take on her recent trip to Disney World. It makes perfect sense. Travelers pack a smaller version of their stuff into luggage and then go somewhere away from home to use it all. If you use a diffuser daily like most of us, it makes perfect sense to take one on your trip. Recently, our friend Sheryl went to Disney with her whole family, and we got a front row seat to her oily adventures using and sharing oils en route to the Magic Kingdom and during her Disney Adventures as well.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLY TOGETHER

Sheryl has no issues using oils as part of her regular routine. "I used a lot of oils on our vacation to Disney World and had no problem taking them on the plane, buses, Disney Parks, Universal Studios, etc. which made me SO HAPPY!" she says. "We used the Aroma Ease for the car ride down to the airport (and back) and also on the plane ride. The person sitting next to me on the way down was from Brighton and also a Young Living member. She asked what I was using, and I offered the Aroma Ease to her and her family. She was so surprised that I would share the oil! She ended up writing down Aroma Ease and En-R-Gee that I recommended." Sheryl had no problem making new oily friends and sharing oils before the plane left the tarmac in Detroit! She also applies Thieves to her feet before flying for immune support.

OILY GOODNESS AT DISNEY

Once again, using oils wherever she is presents no challenges for our friend. Sheryl and her family opted to stay in Disney at the Polynesian Resort. She points out that travel time and exhaustion levels on a short trip can wreck vacation fun. So they splurged to have a closer hotel and loved it. She started out her hotel stay with beautiful, fragrant lei. "The fragrance of it reminded me a little of White Angelica, one of my favorite oils," she says.

After getting their luggage delivered to their room, they freshened up. Their Thieves Toothpaste and Orange Essential Oil were quickly parked in the bathroom for family use, and they headed out to explore Epcot. "I'm in a 30-Day Challenge to see how much the toothpaste and essential oil combo may help to brighten my teeth," Sheryl explains. "So I couldn't go on vacation without my Young Living Dental Care products." She says they used Aroma Ease and En-R-Gee each time before heading into the parks as well to help balance energy levels.

Her Orb Diffuser turned out to be a lifesaver because her daughters started experiencing cold-like symptoms. It is surprisingly common to experience that right after being exposed to germs in airports, airplanes and busy entertainment parks. "I started diffusing Thieves and RC right away," Sheryl says. "We also decided to start putting Thieves on our feet before leaving the room for the day. With all the surfaces we are touching, along with thousands of other people, it just makes good sense to be careful and safeguard our immunity." She is one smart Mama! They also used the Breathe Again roller bottle on the go. "My girls only felt sluggish and symptomatic for one day," she adds. "I credit Thieves, RC and the diffuser for getting their systems the immune support needed at the right time."

SHERYL'S TRAVEL SUGGESTIONS

  • Breathe Again Roller ball for seasonal support

  • Lavender for any possible sun exposure

  • DiGize for all of the dining out

  • Aroma Ease for the plane flight and for the rides at Disney World and Universal Studios

  • Thieves to put on our feet before the plane flight down and back

  • Thieves and RC to diffuse in our hotel room when my daughters both had temporarily weakened immune systems.

  • En-R-Gee and Peppermint to help us get through our long days of walking

  • Deep Relief and Peppermint for relief from long days and all the physical activity

  • Joy and White Angelica to keep our moods lifted dealing with the crowds (and each other – lol)

  • I also had my own roller bottle made up for head relief which has Peppermint, Lavender, Pan Away and a carrier oil

  • Another roller bottle I had made up to support healthy throats which has Thieves, Purification, Oregano and a carrier oil

What are your must have oils when you travel away from home, even if it is just for the day?
